Every figure on this page was recomputed from the series as it stood on 2026-08-07, the date of its most recent observation.
The short answer
On 2026-08-07 the BAYC collection was worth 0.249 times the CryptoPunks collection, measured as floor price times supply on both sides.
That is the 26th percentile of the 1,929 observations recorded since 2021-04-27.
The highest reading on record is 1.98, on 2022-05-30; over the 28 days since 2026-07-10 the ratio moved -18.4%.
How to read this chart
Comparing the two floors directly is misleading: BAYC and CryptoPunks each have 10,000 items, but their floors are quoted in different market conditions and the collections trade on different depth. Multiplying floor by supply gives a collection-level value, and dividing one by the other gives a single line that answers which collection the market currently prices higher in total — not which item costs more.
Method and data
The chart and the three figures above are recomputed from OmniaChart's production data API, not copied from an earlier version of this page. The series is the BAYC collection market cap divided by the CryptoPunks collection market cap, built as one point per date the two sides share, which is why the observation count (1,929) is smaller than the calendar span. Coverage runs 2021-04-27 to 2026-08-07 — 5.3 years. The vertical axis is logarithmic, so equal distances are equal percentage moves.
If the underlying series stops updating, this page is not regenerated with old numbers: the generator refuses to write it. A dated figure is the only kind worth publishing.
Frequently asked questions
Which is worth more, BAYC or CryptoPunks?
The number at the top of this page answers it for the date printed next to it. A value below 1 means CryptoPunks is the larger collection by market cap; above 1 means BAYC is.
How is an NFT collection's market cap calculated here?
Floor price multiplied by the number of items in the collection. It is an estimate, not a settlement value — no one can sell 10,000 items at the floor — but applied consistently to both sides it makes the two collections comparable.
Can I compare other NFT collections?
Yes. OmniaChart tracks NFT collections alongside crypto, stocks, commodities and collectibles, and any two of them can be divided into a ratio. BAYC/CryptoPunks is one of the free examples.
